Components Sauce:
- ¼ cup Mike’s Hot Honey® or similar hot honey
- Three tablespoons of gochujang, a spicy Korean pepper paste
- One-third cup brown sugar
- One spoonful of soy sauce
- one tsp lemon juice
- two tsp finely chopped garlic
- one tsp finely chopped fresh ginger root
- Half a teaspoon of salt
- One-half teaspoon of black pepper
- Finely chop ¼ cup of green onions (only the green portion).
Wings:
- Two pounds of chicken wings
- One tsp salt
- one tsp powdered garlic
- One tsp powdered onion
- One-half teaspoon of black pepper
- ½ cup corn flour
Accessory:
- Two tablespoons of finely chopped green onions
- One tsp of sesame seeds
Guidelines
In a saucepan, mix together hot honey, gochujang, brown sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring your sauce to a boil at medium heat, then for five minutes lower the heat and simmer. Stir in the green onions.
200 degrees Celsius, or 400 degrees Fahrenheit, is the ideal temperature to set the air fryer to.
After putting the wings in a big bowl, season them with salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Toss the wings in the cornstarch until well covered.
Make sure the wings in the air fryer basket are not in contact with one another by giving them a shake before cooking, if needed, in batches.
After 10 minutes of heating up, shake the basket and continue to fry for an additional 10 minutes.
Turn over wings and continue to sauté for a further 7 to 8 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices flow clear.
Toss the wings in the sauce, then sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. You should serve any leftover sauce on the side.
